Pepper Spray is by far the most popular self defense products in the world outselling everything else at least 2 to 1.
Two reasons come to mind.
1. It is by far the least expensive option but we do not encourage people to use cost as a reason for buying but many do.
2. Most people do not want to have to touch the assailant as you would with other protection products. Pepper sprays have a range from 6 feet to as many as 25 feet.
Pepper spray causes the attacker to have shortness of breathe, have temporary blindness due to excessive tearing and the eyes actually shutting down, coughing and choking. Pepper spray is overall about 75% effective.
This is why many women like to carry Pepper Spray for protection. But remember it only works if you have it ready to use and not in your pocket or purse. Be prepared and safety minded at all times.
